Opportunity Available: Marketing Assistant

This is an all-round B2B marketing role offering plenty of variety and excellent exposure to many elements of the marketing mix in an international environment.

You will support the Marketing & Communications Manager and work closely with other departments, assisting with marketing activities and initiatives that support our business strategy and business development and sales processes. You will also help to ensure the company’s brand and product image is promoted, externally and internally, in a professional and consistent manner.

This is a very busy role encompassing many aspects from marketing administration, market research, digital marketing and monitoring analytics to co-ordinating promotional activity, marketing communications and planning and supporting industry events and exhibitions.

Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will ideally possess the following qualifications/skills/experience:

*An HND or bachelor's degree in Marketing (or related business subject) and/or a professional marketing qualification (e.g. CIM)
*A solid understanding of the principles of marketing and how to apply them in a B2B context
*Some marketing experience, particularly in a B2B or manufacturing environment, would be an advantage but is not essential
*Some exhibition/event planning experience would also be helpful but is not essential
*Microsoft office skills are essential (particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
*Some experience of desktop publishing, photo/video editing and graphic design software would be beneficial but is not essential
*An excellent grasp of the English language and good copywriting and proofreading skills
*Keen attention to detail and a creative eye for design
*Competent numerical, research and analytical skills
*Excellent verbal (spoken/written) skills and a natural ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
*Strong presentation skills
*Effective organisational, planning and prioritisation skills
*The ability to multi-task on a variety of projects and work under pressure to tight deadlines

This is a full-time position working in Yate, North Bristol; Monday to Friday based on a 40-hour week. Occasional UK and international travel may be required. Salary is from £20,000 p.a. dependent on experience and skills. Holiday entitlement is 25 days per year, plus bank holidays.
